We're already in the final weeks of 2025, but in Roberto Sanchez's Lone Ark it's business as usual. Under the fairly self-explanatory alias Lone Ark, Sanchez takes on vocal duties himself for this 'Singers & Players' project.
For the riddims, Roberto drew from ‘Showcase I & II’, the two instrumental Message albums we previously introduced on these pages.
The result is nine gems crafted in the purest Jamaican roots tradition. The melodica-driven riddim of ‘Mr. Liar’, which leans towards an Augustus Pablo production, and the Psalm 19-inspired ‘Words Of My Mouth’ (“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight…”) especially captured our imagination.
With ‘Singers & Players’, jack-of-all-trades Roberto Sanchez once again proves just what a multi-talent he truly is!
