Manudigital - Digital UK Session EP (X-Ray Production)

Just as he did in the past with 'Digital Kingston Session Vol. 1 & 2' and 'Mexico Sessions', Manudigital has now compiled the sessions he recorded in the United Kingdom with artists such as Brother Culture, Shumba Youth, Daddy Freddy, and Liam Bailey, resulting is this 8-track 'Digital UK Session' EP!

By Jah Rebel

Manudigital’s musical adventures with his Casio MT40 have been extensively documented on his YouTube channel, but for fans of quality digital music, the 8 tracks have now released on vinyl.

The compilation kicks off with a highlight, the Digital UK Session version of Brother Culture’s ‘Jump Up On It’. Other recommended tracks include ‘Digital Man’ featuring veteran Daddy Freddy, and ‘More Fyah’ featuring Demolition Man aka Ras Demo, both showcasing true fast style mastery.

If you prefer something more rootsy, there’s ‘Standing Firm’, featuring UK rising talent Shumba Youth, or ‘Enough’, the notably downtempo closing track with Liam Bailey on vocals.

Personally, we also want to highlight ‘Children Of Shaka’, where Congo Natty and Guinea-Conakry’s Falle Nioke do their thing over a digital version of the Drum Song riddim.

Pure digital niceness!

Manudigital kicks off the festivities at Reggae Geel on Thursday, August 1st!
