Brussels Roots Collective is thrilled to present “SISTREN AT THE CONTROLS #5”!

For our final session of the year, featuring a 100% female line-up, get ready to meet talented artists whose conscious and harmonious selections are sure to light up the dance.

To close the year in style, we’re bringing together vibes from France and Belgium. SISTA MED is coming straight from Rouen with her Healin Powa Soundsystem to keep us skanking all night long. AKURA SISTREN from GaiaDub will open the session, followed by our selectresses CONSCIOUS BE and SISTA FABIENNE from BRC, serving up pure selections from vintage gems to fresh productions. ROSA will join us on saxophone — you’re in for a treat!

And last but definitely not least, it’s with great pleasure and honor that we welcome the talented Belgian singer MARIJAH for a special showcase! Marijah needs no introduction: her roots-dub productions and her work with soundsystems across Flanders have taken her all over Europe. Her voice will give you goosebumps, and her powerful lyrics will not leave you unmoved. A live performance you simply must experience.

There will be a donation box at the event to help raise funds for the communities of St. James and St. Elizabeth in Jamaica, who were heavily affected by the Hurricane Melissa disaster. Every contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated.
